Outbound Training Program (OBT) for the Junior and Senior Prefects of Ambagamuwa Central College Department of Management Studies in collaboration with the Marshal Division of the University of Peradeniya

Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Management, in collaboration with Marshal Division of the University of Peradeniya, organized an Outbound Training Program for the Junior and Senior Prefects of Ambagamuwa Central College on the 10^th of June 2023. Mr. WAA. Werahera, Chief Marshal, and his team conducted the training from 9.00 am in the university playground after an ice-breaking and motivational session, which was conducted by Mr. TSS. Fernando, Head, Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Management in the Faculty Auditorium.

The primary purpose of this event was to improve the leadership skills of the school students, especially the prefects, who are known for their leadership. Various activities were conducted by the marshal’s division, which focused on improving teamwork, creativity, social skills, analytical, critical skills, and student leadership. After the end of training, students also showcased their talents using stage performances. Certificates of participation were awarded to all students by the dignitaries. The students enjoyed the day with plenty of learnings about leadership and life, which was evident in the vote of thanks from students.

The officers of the Marshal Division, lecturers, and undergraduate students of the Department of Management Studies also actively participated and supported the program. The principal of Ambagamuwa Central College, teachers also participated with great energy and enthusiasm. As the Department of Management Studies, we hope to continue such meaningful programs in the future as well towards a society full of great leadership skills.
